The landscape is situated in a neighbourhood on a sunlit day, with light clouds in the sky. Perng Fey chose to depict the buildings and surrounding utility structures with bold strokes, achieving a harmonious balance. The study of the various planes of the buildings and effect of light and shadow on the rooftops gives a nostalgic feeling. Wong Perng Fey graduated from the Malaysian Institute of Art in 1998 under scholarship. He was awarded the Artist Residency in Rimbun Dahan, Kuang in 2002. His solo exhibitions include Delirium, Richard Koh Fine Art, Gillman Barracks, Singapore (2024), and The (un)-related Sceneries, Richard Koh Fine Art, Gillman Barracks, Singapore (2019). His works are in many prominent public collections such as the National Art Gallery Malaysia, Bank Negara Malaysia Museum & Art Gallery, and Galeri Petronas, Kuala Lumpur.
