New Village: Adjacent Vicinity presents a panoramic view of the surroundings of a neighbourhood. Warm shades of cream, brown, and green tones are reflected in the tranquil atmosphere. The gentle light of the cloud filled skies and roofs of the houses are expressed through a soft blend of colours.
Wong Perng Fey graduated from the Malaysian Institute of Art in 1998 under scholarship. He was awarded the Artist Residency in Rimbun Dahan, Kuang in 2002. His solo exhibitions include Delirium, Richard Koh Fine Art, Gillman Barracks, Singapore (2024), and The (un)-related Sceneries, Richard Koh Fine Art, Gillman Barracks, Singapore (2019). His works are in many prominent public collections such as the National Art Gallery Malaysia, Bank Negara Malaysia Museum & Art Gallery, and Galeri Petronas, Kuala Lumpur.
