Filled with bright colours, Hendrick Nicholas focuses on an interior of a living room featuring a lush landscape seen through the windows. Evoking the inviting ambience of home with flowers, fruits, and still life, this early work from the Welcome Series dated 1998 also features local handicraft such as a weaved basket and vessels. Hendrick Nicholas received his education in fine art at UiTM. His solo exhibitions were held at Kelab Shell Lutong, Miri, 2003, Kelab Penaga, Kuala Belait, Brunei Darussalam, 2004 and Hotel Empire, Brunei Darussalam, 2005.
