Arp Raph, a visual artist from the United Kingdom specialises in contemporary figurative paintings influenced by his travel experiences. Depictions of everyday life describing the connection between people were created through his expressive brushstrokes. Outside Cooking portrays the cooking methods of stir fry in an Asian kitchen, a process which enables the ingredients to soak in the flavours while being tossed. He captures the motion whereby the addition of oil and seasoning into the numerous woks on the stove created tiny sparks of flame.
Arp Raph received his education at Manchester University, England. He lives and works between Spain and New York. His solo exhibitions My Way (2017), The Malaysian Outsider (2018), Joyous (2022), and Legends Of Malacca (2023), were held at Pinkguy Gallery, Kuala Lumpur.
