Within the forest, a bountiful harvest of yam is secured onto an old bicycle, perhaps belonging to a farmer. Depicted in a realistic style, the watercolours of Rohaizad Shaari are observations of the realities of life in his surroundings. Through his works, the artist sought to express the transitions and effects of modernisation experienced by the local community in the rural landscape.
Rohaizad Shaari had several solo exhibitions, Gerek (2003), Gelagat (2009) and Pohon Cemara (2011). He graduated in his studies in fine art at UiTM in 1992. He has participated in exhibitions that were held at Balai Seni Kedah, Balai Seni Lukis Negara, Galeri Shah Alam, Galeri Petronas, and Bank Negara.
