Hoan Kee Huang painted the lives of different ethnic groups from Sarawak. His colours reflect the rich cultural heritage of Borneo, applied with refined strokes, especially on the child’s face that shows innocence. A fine artist with an eye for hopeful portraits, Hoan Kee Huang’s work is humble yet mesmerising. Superb details in his paintings mirror his deep introspection. Most of his work were exhibited in galleries, art exhibitions and places such as Istana Negara (National Palace of Malaysia), Istana Perlis (Palace of Perlis), museums, and some were kept by foreign and local art collectors.
