In Baju Kurung Raya, the artist used intricate lines to form a perfect composition of patterns and space. The intersection of the motif of clouds, glowing stars, tender floral elements, and play of shapes and lines make this an arresting composition. Juhari Said is one of the finest printmakers in Malaysia today, having mastered the technical aspects of printmaking in Paris in 1993 under the French Government grant and traditional woodblock print under the sinseh Yoshisuke Funasaka in Tokyo in 1994 under the Japan Foundation Research Grant. Juhari won the Major Prize (Printmaking) in the 1991-1992 Salon Malaysia for his piece Tiga Cawan Kopi and also the 1990 Pemodalan Nasional Bhd Award. In his final year at the Mara Institute of Technology in Shah Alam in 1983 after a first-year foundation stint in Dungun, he chose the difficult technique of woodcut in his final year. He was a Creative Fellow at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang 2008. In 2009, he was awarded the Anugerah Karyawan Seni by the Unity, Arts and Heritage Ministry.
